Shorted 3.3v rail

Postby Duo420 » 09 May 2018, 20:15

Hello everyone,
I just finished soldering my vesc 4.12. Managed to programm the Stm32 trough the stlinkv2 successfully. Then I connected my 12v psu to the rails and the usb to the pc but the pc couldn't recognise it so i thought i could verify the voltages. Controlled the one on the rails the tvs fiode and the voltageregulator but i slipped and shorted the 3.3v pin of the ragulator to the gnd of the capacitor. Perfect. After that my regulator has 2.5v on the 5v rail and 0.002v on the 3.3v rail. My question now is ehat should I replace. A need drv and stm is coming. I still have one more regulator laying around but can't do anything now as I have all the soldering stuff at school. My concern is that the can ic got damaged as i don't have one to replace it. What do you guys think?
