on my infineon KH18 sine ebike controllers I am used to being able to invoke field weakening and the resulting collapse in field strength can yield up to a 60% increase in top speed. This would be a really handy feature as it would probably prevent a lot of users from wanting to go 18s when they don't need to the torque that a non -FW implementation would give.
Is it a possibility for the software soon? I would forsee a strong uptake on large hub motors if so.
Are there any features that you would like to add to the VESC?
