Seen the demo for using position control using the quadrature encoder. Interested in using the VESC for an application which previously I would of needed a expensive servo motor for.
I am wondering if variable speed and positioning is available with the VESC. Secondly is it possible to feed position data from something else other than a quadrature encoder say from another controller. As my application is a linear application where I would like to vary the travel distance and speed using a hall effect type system.
I know this question may sound a wee bit wet behind the ears from my point but I would appreciated an answer and some advice to get started.
