My only concern would have been, if Rds(on) isn't too high, in case the gate voltage is below 10V.
So I was thinking about using these FETs:
They are just slightly more expensive, but have really low Rds(on), even at 4,5V.

Most fet drivers are "afraid" that you'll drive the FETs at a gate voltage that is insufficient to fully turn on the FET. When that happens, the FET would blow because it had voltage AND current across it so way more power than expected.
So most fet drivers will have an "under voltage lockout": it will refuse to drive the fets when the gate-drive-voltage is below a certain value. For the DRV8302 on the VESC that would be 8V. Also for the LM5109 that I use the limit is 8V. I don't know by heart what this mini-vesc uses.....

Schematics with LM5113 seem all wrong.. Looks like PCB is correct, but schematics file is completely different.
