From a production standpoint, it would be interesting if you could machine them as singles with holes so they could be attached together into a double like you've shown, or even stacked. Another side effect is that the separation would provide protection against fire - if one unit failed catastrophically, or if there was water ingress.

He already made cases for single units. Sure he can make you some if you wish to buy.

Personally, on setups with multiple VESC's I'd prefer having them under the same case. Less wires, less points of entry for Cables and smaller distance between Communication and of course smaller case overall. One could implement a "wall" in the box tho to separate them a little bit I guess. You'd still need a hole for the CAN-bus..but yeah.

The idea I suggested provides you with that but at a lower production cost. The larger case results in significantly more material costs. For a full CnC case, the asking price is quite reasonable in my mind, I was thinking a bit about flexibility as I have 2 controllers, but they would need to be stacked to make them work for me.
