Postby vyckius » 21 Jun 2017, 05:55

I have teseted my eboard. Motor alienpower 3.2kw 170kV, baterry 6S, controller bought from esk8.de . I have tested with these settings about 20meters with remote controller. after that I have tryed connect to my android with hm-10 module. Eveything was connected. Seems good and then begin strange things, motor starts and stops and after sveral times it stopped (bluetooth was testing on idle) . Then I got drv8302 fault.... what could be the reason? I wasnt driving hardly or extreem. It was only test so why it had broken? On driver I cant see any damage....

Hi

Like you, I am an absolute beginner and am struggling with a DRV8302 fault myself in another post, so this is only guesswork. But battery max as well as absolute max in your settings are quite high. The VESC is rated for 120A max. However, I don't see why it should damage instantly without actually riding. Also, did you measure the motor ind the BLDC tab properly?

Cheers,
Andy

The "absolute max" of 130 is what is distributed as default. The bat max of 100A should not be possible with a 40A max motor current.

Look. I know a thing or two. In this case i know about the settings. So i inform you about that. But the drv and why it blows up... i dont know. For my own projects, i've decided not to use them anymore. I'm guessing you don't have that option. My condolances....
