Building Riding Couch with VESCs

Postby faheus » 26 Apr 2017, 21:51

Hey guys,
at the Moment i'm building a driving Sofa with two Hoverboard Wheels.

The Mechanics is pretty much done, but now i'm failing at setting up the FOC Mode.
The Motors do not have very much Torque on the low end and don't find good sync at low speed.

Does someone know some hints on what settings i have to turn to make it more agile? Those Hoverboards have massive amounts of Torque at low speeds

Have been thinking of this for a long time, fun to see someone actually doing it. Have you tried any other mode then FOC? Same result?

I fixed some of the problems with the PID settings and lowering the Motor Max Amps.
will update when the thing is ready.
