I don't think there is a hardware protection for over voltage. Things just blow up if you really exceed the tolerances of the components. Someone here suggested that it might be the diode that charges the boost cap. I think he might be right: I have assembled my own variant and when testing higher voltages things went wrong around 35V. It turns out I had used my generic diodes that could only handle 30V....kitewinder wrote:Hi all,
