I have my custom version setup for testing, didn't have any issues building custom firmware to support 40 amp isolated hall sensors, but I can't quite get the motor running. BLDC mode just gives detection fault, I can get closer with FOC. Usually FOC detection fails, it goes through the first test then buzzes and the VESC reboots. I managed to get readings a couple of times and tried many variations on those. I did get very close a few times getting a full rotation twice but most of the time it just grinds or shudders. It's built from a 600V IGBT module with integrated drivers and using allegro isolated hall sensors so far it seems like I can safely abuse it without much fear of damaging it but I'm not sure where to start to configure it.
This is a video of it, at first I'm using the arrow keys to move it, after that I run FOC detection and it reboots itself after the buzzing sound.
