Powerful torque at low speed
I am using a VESC 6 with AS5047 encoder along with a Scorpion 5535 brushless engine and 11 cell LiPo on an electric scooter. I want even more torque at low speed. When I look at the current I get no more than about 20 A at low speed. Does this mean that the VESC 6 controller limits the current when the voltage difference between input and output is high? Is there a chart showing these VESC 6 performance? Hope someone can give me information about this! (Hope, too, I have managed to formulate the question in a language where I need help from Google translate ...
Best regards Geir

Re: Powerful torque at low speed
Yes, the VESC limits the battery current and the motor current to their respective limits (as set in VESC Tool). It always does this, regardless of the voltage difference between input and output. This is a feature, meant to protect the battery, the VESC, and the motor.
What are your configured motor and battery current limits?
