I am trying to control a brushless motor of a robotic arm with the VESC.
I am stuck with some problems, I would love to have your help and feedback on where I am now.
1) The FOC control (sensorless and with hall sensors) does not work in speed mode. I have segmentation fault everytime I launch it with BLDC-tool. Is it normal ?
2) I changed the hardware to enable encoder by removing the right capa and res and replace the good res by a 0ohm res
with the magnetic encoder AS5047P or with a standard incremental encoder (no index) or with AMT102, the FOC control does not work at all.
It does want to start.
Is someone got similar problems? How did you fix it ?

Did you ever figure this out? I am trying to get FOC working with the same encoder (have removed and bypassed the filter circuitry) but when I try to do the resistance measurement in the bldc tool, the tool segfaults and quits
