This is probably more suited to the FOC subforum, but I thought I'd ask here.
Has there been any consideration for performing on-line stator resistance (and possibly inductance) calculations, such that the observer PI constants can be tuned on the fly as the motor heats/changes load? Perhaps it'd even be possible to achieve steady pole/zero calculation between the observer and outer control loops.
This is similar to what TI does with their InstaSpin technology for their FAST observer.

I guess the bachelor thesis you linked to went well This is how it's done, not like the poor quality I see lately from universities..
