### Re: Getting max power using the motor and battery amp limits

Was vedder's overlay video done in bldc or FOC? Do u think the equation will be different depending on the different program? But why would u think 1000watts at close to zero rpm would be more of a problem than at a higher speed? Just a bit more wind but otherwise isn't it the same? I feel lthe more...

### Re: Vesc lvc and braking downhill

if going downhill coasting there is power being produced in the motor. supposedly you must be going fast enough to produce a voltage higher than the battery's to recharge the battery. what happens to the power being produced by the motor if you arent going fast enough to be producing a voltage as hi...

### Re: Getting max power using the motor and battery amp limits

Is that 240 amp limit continuous? that's huge. at very slow speeds there will be a low duty cycle and therefore whatever amps are being applied to the motor would be for a fraction of a second no? I pull 1000 watts from the battery per motor and I cant see when it's happening but I thought it would ...

### Getting max power using the motor and battery amp limits

will this method/formula get me safely to a determined max power? :start with the question: "how many watts do I want available full throttle very close to 0 rpm?" If the answer is: 1000 watts Battery Voltage: 50V Winding Resistance: 0.12566ohm Ohm's Law: (Calculate Effective Motor AC Volt...

### Re: Vesc lvc and braking downhill

The VESC uses about 1W "standby" (oops. Mine has been drawing that from an nearly empty battery with no BMS since friday). It continues to do that as long as the BMS does not cut the power. When you brake, I think the low voltage cutoff will slightly limit the allowed current, but the vol...

### Re: VESC at high Voltage (and KV)

Does a motor run more efficiently at a speed based on its total battery no-load speed or when talking about the no-load speed is it always changing based on the duty cycle/throttle and therefore as long as the motor is large enough it will run just as efficiently at any rpm? When battery current is ...

### Re: where does the mosfet temp value come from?

so even though there are different graphings of temp for different fets that show up on the bldc tool realtime data they're all hooked to the same temp sensor?

### Re: 14S VESC ?

In the VESC you can configure motor-max-current and battery-max-current separately. Configure them to whatever your motor and battery allow. With modern motors you are not limited in amps by the battery voltage. My testing-motor does 50A, 50V or 2500W. Nice! It has 14mOhm resistance. So of 24, 36, ...

### Record live sampling?

How can I record live sampling while riding, other than with a pc connected. Anything simple? How much memory does it take maybe it'd be worth adding

### Re: Braking voltage questions - batteries disconnected or full?

How bout going over the erpm max while coasting? So as an example if I had a high kv motor and went down a hill faster than I'd be able to do powered. Will I self-destruct? Blow up board? Lose brakes? Slam on brakes? All bad.
