Re: Sensored motor - detection

Did you cut the pins on the backside of the hall sensor port? If not, the sharp pins can perforate the red cable if it's going across them and can cause a lot of troubles. Second, are you sure that the alignment of V5, H1-3, temp and GND are correct for the VESC? Sometimes there is not much document...

Re: VESC Repair in Europe

It's nice to have somebody doing this in Europe especially because finding somebody knowing the VESC that well is not so easy. I can really recommend the above mentioned repair service - it's fair, transparent and he's supporting Benjamin too! :)

Re: VESC killed?

I'm sorry to hear that, that's really bad luck Max. It might be a good idea to implement a fuse to prevent this from happening again. I also killed a RC ESC by a short in the motor and since then I use Benjamin's powerswitch with fuse on all my boards. You can find the details also in Benjamin's git...

Re: VESCs - made in Germany

Just an update to answer some questions which were asked: the C18 update is already shipping since 1st Feb.

Due to high demand we are a little bit limited at the moment, next VESCs will be available on Thursday and shipping immediately.

Re: DRV8302 faults with FOC

Thanks Benjamin. I'm testing it at the moment. The only way I can reproduce it is when connecting a 16V/5A power supply to it, the GVDD_UNDERVOLTAGE occurs then while accelerating hard (8V limit). Added the cap on top at C18 and it's performing now without error. Soldering this tiny little thing on ...

VESCs - made in Germany

Just to add a European source, VESCs are available in EU (and non-EU) as well. The VESC's are produced and assembled in a factory specialized for PCBs (they normally work for automotive and aviation companies). The VESCs are containing all cables, incl. PPM cable and each and every VESC is tested be...
