Re: MINI VESC

Looks very Nice. I just need to know if it is way better than the 4.12 HW in FOC mode at the lowest speed. My motor is 21 Pole pair, 100kV, and will be used at about 1800-2000 Mech RPM with 10S batteries. With the "classic 4.12 HW" the motor has often many difficulties to start in FOC sens...

Re: VESC-based board(s) for sale....

I need a board that is better in FOC mode, especially in lower speed region. My motor has 21 pole pairs, is 100kV and used with 10S batteries. 3 shunts may help, but because I need only 5-10 amps continuous per phase, I prefer to have higher value for these shunts 3 or 5 mR. Is that possible with yo...

Re: FOC parameters measurement problem.

Thank you. I have measured resistance and inductance with a good LCR meter at 1 and 10 kHz. 10kHz values are more appropriate in this case. Resistance is about same as TMotor announce (0.186mR) on it's website, good :!: Inductance vary slightly with rotor position, I've found between 102 and 128 µH ...

FOC parameters measurement problem.

Hi to all, At last I've succeed to make my U8 motor spin in BLDC mode after a lot of (solved) problems. But when I wanna measure the motor parameters for FOC, the test seems to require a very large current topping my 2A PSU current limit. Do you know what is the minimum current required to obtain go...

Re: temp_motor isn't set ?

I will use a LM35 or LMT90 that deliver 10mV/°C and an op-amp to have proportional output.

You can easily glue it in your motor if not too small :D

Re: VESC EBIKE SETUP

I'm very interrested with that thread, because I wanna use a VESC 4.12 for my new e-bike project. VESC is able to drive motors up to 60000 erpm, and tht's why I've choosen it! My motor is a TMotor U8 with 42 magnets, so although it will run at a slow 1800 rpm, the erpm will be very high. The maximum...
