Re: VESC_Tool issues.
I think you should talk about that on vesc-project.com. Because the forum there is for BETA discussions.

Re: VESC6 firmware upgrade.
Please have a look at vesc-project.com.
There is something wrong with the boot loader. Benjamin trys to fix that.
Because you know what you are doing you could also flash with your STLINK V2 or ST development board that you have laying around.

Re: Get Well Soon Ben!
Also the best wishes from my side. Hope you will get well soon and it cures completely without to much pain. I think the most important thing is to rest right now, so forget about working on the VESC project for a short time. We can wait. I know myself what a terrible feeling it is when something un...

Re: VESC HW 4.12 temperature comparison
Cool that you like it. Hearing that from you means a lot to me. :) Next time I will try to adjust the overlay to my needs, so put the elevation data out and the motor and battery current in. But this time I was just using the default overlay available for the metr.at data. The motor current is just ...

Re: Newbie - what are the advantages of VESC for an electric scooter
* Instead of an on/off brake, you can add a second throttle on another ADC pin and use it as an adjustable regenerative brake. That is really already possible in the current firmware with HW 4.12? I was thinking that it isn't supporter jet, so my plan was to wait for the new firmware and then try t...

Re: VESC HW 4.12 temperature comparison
Thanks. Always nice to hear positive feedback. ;) I also mentioned two graphs in my last post, but I forgot to upload them. So they are coming with this post. I also forgot to mention, that the elevation data isn't that accurate because I have no barometer in my phone, so they are just from t...

VESC HW 4.12 temperature comparison
Hey guys, I have done a comparison how much airflow is affecting the temperature rise of the VESC 4.12 hardware. You can see the video here: UwVQQ_LY5bc To give you an more detailed insight of the setup: To the VESC itself. It is self soldered with a self build heatsink on top of the IRFS7530 MOSFET...

Re: oscilating in FOC mode, not in BLDC mode
I noticed the same when I were playing around with the current plot (for the pole count measurement) with my eBike hub motor using hall sensors and FOC. I was expecting that the motor would spin with the constant erpm i put into the text field, but instead it was oscillating and I didn't know why th...

Re: VESC Servo Control
For me the data sheet of the DRV8302 says, that the integrated step-down is specified to 1,5A. So the consumption of the 3.3V LDO (for the micro controller / SN65HVD232 CAN IC) and a safety margin is already build into this 1A. So I would definitely use an external step-down module when you need tha...

Re: why the topic “VESC 5” is gone?
No, sadly not. You can just have a look to the first page from that thread when you use the snapshot from the 7/7/2016 and the 20th page when you use for an example the snapshot from 10/30/2016. So not much, but more than nothing.
