Re: Weird issues with debugger

Hello arvidb,
Yep - everything else seems to be working. Measured the 3.3 V reail to be good - 5V is a little off (5.136V) but I dont think this should be an issue. Just strange ... I'll need to try the software with another VESC to be sure its not a hardware fault.

Weird issues with debugger

Hey everyone, I just recently moved my developement away from the discovery board onto the real thing - yay. So far, so good - somehow I managed to have the USB COM interface to only show up while the debugger is attached ???? - Means I debug using openocd, step into my app, remove all the breakpoin...

Re: Debugging without compiler optimizations ?

Hey rew, Thanks for the help. I did figure it out in the meantime - was something easy as always but just didn't see it ... allocated insufficient size to my thread's work area.... and could not figure it out because I was unable to properly debug there - as even with optimizations left on enabling ...

Debugging without compiler optimizations ?

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. I am trying to write a custom application and wanted to enable debugging. So I got an STLINK V2 off ebay and configured it. I can debug VESC firmware with the standard makefile and all seemed well except it isn't. It is generally suggested to turn off compil...

Re: BLDC Tool Realtime Data to Excel File

Hi Blake, For getting data to Excel you could also have a look at recompiling BLDC tool to output the data you need. I have done so before to do similar stuff, recording the motor current. If you know your way around Qt + Qt Creator it is fairly simple - I do however not have that code on the comput...

Re: Hobbyking VESC

Seems to be back up - they aren't calling it a VESC anymore except for in the link itself but its clear from the pictures and state its VESC hardware. https://hobbyking.com/de_de/vesc.html Instead they refer to it as a Turnigy 50A skateboard ESC. The price is great.... If anyone ordered one of those...

Re: Compiling VESC firmware on Windows

Hey Thierry, I'm sorry that i omitted that information as it was appearently not obvious :D. I hope you didnt waste too much time otherwise next time please pm - would have been a matter of minutes then. What you describe is what i meant by "mport the project into Chibi Studio" ;) Good luc...

Re: Compiling VESC firmware on Windows

Hey Thierry, If it helps here is what I did - just download Chibi Studio (VESC is based on ChibiOS). http://www.chibios.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=chibios:product:chibistudio:start Then clone the firmware's git repository, import the project into Chibi Studio and click "build" - You can then...

Re: Suggestions for OpenSource Electric Unicycle firmware

P.S. PM me for sourcecode etc. Its a "Quick and dirty" hack so far not documented very well etc. so I am not going to upload it to github or anything but you are obviously welcome to use it "as it is" if anyone is interested.

Re: Suggestions for OpenSource Electric Unicycle firmware

Hi Jackl ! I recently had success connecting to the MPU 6050 using this library : https://github.com/jevermeister/MPU6050-ChibiOS - It is appearently abandoned and old but... it works - at least as far as I can tell - haven't played much with using the dmp or anything but getting raw data is easy en...
