Thank you dude.
This is really cool stuff.

Re: Increase of input voltage
Hi guys!
Any advances with 15S VESC?
I would love one for my e-bike.

Re: DRV8302 faults with FOC
So, it makes no difference if I use 2.2µF or 4.7µF cap?

Re: DRV8302 faults with FOC
My question was related to C18 capacitor. My 3 680 capacitors are closer to FETs than originally because they are at 90 deg to the board.

Re: DRV8302 faults with FOC
At this point I haven't used FOC in my setup. From what I read, with FOC, a motor will be more efficient and quieter. Is adding extra capacitor on top of the existing one or changing to larger capacitor the way to go? If a larger capacitor is a good option for a new build, which one is the best for ...

Re: VESC DRV8302 Problems MOSFET Swapping Considerations to all!
Not possible because it's not the same footprint. And Direct FETs are very difficult to solder. A very small fan can do the job, or have a look at the VESC 6 done by Stewii here http://www.electric-skateboard.builders/t/hw6-4-based-esc-escape/37579 Have a Nice Day and Happy New Year 2018. Re: VESC DRV8302 Problems MOSFET Swapping Considerations to all!
Unsoldering the FETs with hot air should be quite easy if you had a hot air station. I think you better leave the FETs in place and add a thick copper bar to the drain of the 3 top FETs, in order to connect them thermally with your aluminum case (it will connect these electrically too, unless you h...

Re: VESC DRV8302 Problems MOSFET Swapping Considerations to all!
Pretty much the same problems. That MOSFET isn't that much better, it and the original have roughly the same on resistance, gate charge and thermal properties. if you're only after 70A have you looked into this style of VESC: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VESC-New-4-12-Motor-controller-Latest-2-54-fir...

Re: VESC DRV8302 Problems MOSFET Swapping Considerations to all!
Thank you all for sharing your knowledge I read this thread a couple of times and learned a thing or two, but I'm still going to ask you a simple question. Can I use heatsink with proposed FDBL0110N60 MOSFET or I will have the same problem with cooling as with your typical VESC MOSFET? Are there oth...

Re: Improve cooling
It is a very nice box to look at, and it fits really well with the rest of your bike. As far as I can tell the VESC was not designed for lots of power or heat. It was designed to fit into tiny spaces which it does very well. Someone tried attaching heat transfer pipes: http://vedder.se/forums/viewt...
