Re: Assembled my VESC and need help with motor detection

I don't have a lab bench power supply that can deliver that much current at that voltage. The next best power source I have are LiPo cells. Against my best judgement, I connected the vESC to the 12s battery pack, that was delivering around 45v. I redid the tests as 3A, 6A, 9A and 12A. All had about...

Re: Assembled my VESC and need help with motor detection

current on the photo is too low (try 6 amps)
but first tap read default config and then connect vesc to 18-25v power source and then try all auto detect functions with default settings

Re: Too small throttle area

@buran: By mapping, you mean the minimum and maximum voltage? Yea i have tried playing with it, but i haven't got it any better. Should i try something like 0-10V values? Hmm.. maybe that's the key. I only tried to reduce it. I tried with both, but no difference. Or well, the duty mode was slightly...

Re: VESC has died, need help to diagnose reasons

look at your vesc under microscope if it too many garbage so that can be it(cheap chines vescs with too much garbage on it (i see it myself)) check 5v out and if it nothing you need to replace drv if you have 5v so check all parts with your fingers to heat when vesc connected to power if you do not ...

Re: VESC Overheating ?

Yeah! that sounds like a better cooling solution. Does not look professional, but could certainly work. You soldered the heatsink to the top fets. It's the bottom fets that are now the trouble: the top fets are taken care of. order-of-magnitude calculation: They have a 1K/W junction to bottom-of-ca...

Re: VESC Overheating ?

my heatsink version very hard to solder (need powerful solder iron) i set 300 phase amps and i can't overheat it (I'm 150 kg weight) its notebook cooling system solder it only on one side (where all fets are parallel connected ) if it will overheat add fan (but i can't overheat it (and can't unsolde...

Re: BLDC tool parameter configuration help

you need to recompile firmware with new current shunt info did you do this? or you only solder new shunts? @artteth ohh! I didn't recompile the firmware. How am i supposed to do that ? I mean, neither i have any platform to edit the firmware nor i have firmware files. All i have is the bldc tool so...
