Re: Exporting/saving data from BLDC tool

If you have access to MATLAB and Simulink on a windows machine, check http://vedder.se/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=333

I've got a similar setup; using a Teensy and MCP2562 and working on using it to control my VESC over CAN.

Was wondering how far you got with this ?

It has been a long time that is working nicely

Re: VESC and Simulink in windows

I just made it with more outputs. the same block. has anybody used it at all? I would be grateful for a feedback

Re: VESC & CAN Bus communication to another MCU (NOT VESC)

Hi yosoufe, I'm attempting to write an Arduino library using an MCP2515/2551 to communicate with the VESCs over CAN-BUS. Your code has been a massive help, I have got setting the RPM, Current etc working. I am now working to get data retrieval working, there are some parts of your code that do not ...

Re: Does VESC create noise at its switching frequency?

I guess the noise burnt also my 5v voltage regulator.
Searching for a solution to get rid of the noise.

Re: Does VESC create noise at its switching frequency?

But still I am worried about the noise effect on other stuff. I have to use the SD card on my board as well using the SPI. And I guess it is very sensitive to noise. So I would guess the noise will not allow me to use the sd card. Because I remember I just forgot to pull up the unconnected pins of m...

Re: Does VESC create noise at its switching frequency?

We simply used Quadruple RS-485 Differential line receiver between the encoder and VESC to use the differential signal of the encoder and now I have a clear measurement on VESC,. Datasheet: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn65lbc175a.pdf Can you post a picture of your setup showing the wiring to th...

Re: Does VESC create noise at its switching frequency?

I already did this stuff. No help! one solution can be like this. My encoder gives also negative signal of ABI. So I can use somehow the differential signal. Because the noise on both signals are the same, if I subtract them from each other by some circuit, it may solve the issue like the CAN Bus wh...

Does VESC create noise at its switching frequency?

Hi I am trying ti use the vesc and encoder. The vesc creates the a noise with 20 KHz which is the switching frequency. I am using it in FOC mode. The noise is every where on my board (seperate from vesc) the power of vesc is going through my board. My board has two switching mode voltage regulator w...
