Re: Improve cooling

Best way to cool down smd mosfets is to solder them on top side, and have thermal vias to bottom side and then place heatsink on bottom side of pcb.

Re: for sale IGBT modules 650V 850A

How many of them can you supply? Do you have any more pictures? Howe does the heat sink look like?
What does used mean, is there any visible damage?

Re: "Peak Efficiency" Control Mode?

Your graph shows peak power at that point. But your graph does not apply to this motor. That is why it is not relevant and you should stop referring to that graph. The graph predicts we can put 250A through the motor to achieve peak output power. That is not relevant because the motor can only hand...

Re: Field Weakening

Did you take into account how much Id current you need to achieve higher speeds? Did you also account in this current when calculating efficiency?

Re: "Peak Efficiency" Control Mode?

1. put a motor temp thermometer in the middle of my dashboard with a "red line" slightly below the winding enamel breakdown temp They ARE measuring the temperature of the motor and will limit the current through it if you drive at max speed too long. 2. instruct my control algorithm engin...

Re: "Peak Efficiency" Control Mode?

Well if you think this is better than what all of the industry and automotive field is using go ahead and work with useless watts. But please read more about motor control techniques since i believe you don't understand it and it doesn't look anybody on this forum can explain it to you.

Over and out.

Re: "Peak Efficiency" Control Mode?

Stop thinking about controlling the motor with watts. Nobody nowhere is controlling the motor with watts. The only time you care about watts consumed by motor is when you have to limit the power drained from battery. Almost are motors are in torque control mode (at least in automotive world) since t...

Re: "Peak Efficiency" Control Mode?

Again your graphs are not for 3-phase BLDC or PMSM motors, which can have efficiency around 90-95%. Don't know where you got your 85% theoretical limit. If you want to maintain desired speed you need to apply proper torque to counteract all the forces braking you. This torque will be dependent on th...

Re: "Peak Efficiency" Control Mode?

First of all stop posting this graph, which has nothing to do with 3 phase BLDC or PMSM motors.
