Re: Increase of input voltage

Hi guys! Any advances with 15S VESC? I would love one for my e-bike. It got real, man !!! There is this amazing A200S 16 (-18) s 200A VESC - further developed buy a ROBOT-fighting guy. Anti-spark-switch in parallel / current Limits ?

Hi, I'm not using a Anti spark switch right now, but i actually would love to install one in my e-MTB and my ebike. But for the Bike it might reach the Limits of the Spark Switch. I use up to 70 A batterie current, and on steep Hills that could be Minutes of nearly constant 70A. Does anyone of you m...

Changing "Power Modes" ?

Hi, Did someone allready make any application that makes it possible to have ,.. ...lets say 2 or 3 different Power modes, ruled by the maximum Amps. For my use they could either be switched by any kind of analog button near the VESC, Or sure switching them via my RC-Remote wich has one channel free...

Re: different capacitators?

They fitted only two caps to get the costs down. I'm not sure about that They put 2 1000müF 63 Volts 16mmX25mm on the Vesc-Cap-PCB =2000müF if you want to fit three on the board the maximum diameter could be around 13 mm the only possible caps i found are 12,5mmX35mm and 680müF = 2040müF so their s...

different capacitators?

Hi, i just got my VESCs from enertion. They look pretty well done, cause i read quite some complains about their quality. They put 2 X 1000müF 63V on the Cap-PCB, that still leaves about 10-12mm in the middle. so i thought to add another 560müF 63V with 13mm diameter just a little displaced to the o...

Re: A Rule of Caps ?

Ok,

So i guess there is no rule to it, Cause sure its clear that the voltage of the caps has to fit to the battery, but the amount of Farad rule the size of the Caps.

Might be trial an error/damage like with some other Vesc-Topics

Re: A Rule of Caps ?

Hi, Ok, i get the general use od the caps. But is there any Rule of thumb about the Dimension of the Caps ? For example That many Farad for that Battery Voltage and that length of battery cable? or something like this. Cause i will use the VESC in a very small 10s setup with maximum 350 Watts (~3,5A...

Re: ebike thumb or twist throttle and break servo ?

Hi, So i have the plan, but i need some Forecasts of people with experience. My plan is: - using a Hobbyking GT2B receiver (and sender) combined with my VESC i would have loved to use the VESCs onboard BEC for powering the receiver, But..... - i will connect the Breaking Servo directly into the Gt2B...

Re: ebike thumb or twist throttle and break servo ?

It's exactly when you do trust the application that it gets dangerous! Even if the application miraculously have zero bugs, what if the VESC resets due to some error like overvoltage? You would completely loose the ability to break! sorry i really do not agree and understand your arguments here, ca...
