With Benjamins current bootloader and setup it flashes ok, it verifies ok, then it hangs on reset. This appears to be normal behaviour, mine did exactly the same and is now fully working. If you now check the bldc_firmware (not bootloader) code that you downloaded by following Benjamins instructions...

In the video, red LED is flashing 3 times, I think your DRV8302 is blown

Thank you Benjamin and all, I now have a fully working motor, battery and VESC :D
All I have to do now is mount it to a 66 year old bicycle, how hard can that be?

The VESC instructions no longer work. The bootloader is fine, it hasn't been changed in 3 years. The main firmware is the problem, Benjamin has been updating it to handle his new V6.00 hardware, current firmware as fetched by instructions is V3.32.
